MINER KILLED AT FAULDHEAD

Thirty-five-year-old James Laurie, of Cairnhill Place, New Cumnock, was killed almost instantly yesterday in Fauldhead Colliery when working in a stone mine in number three pit.
Laurie, who had a wife and two children was jammed between a hutch and a mechanical shovel.
